The minimum age to rent out your equipment and become a host is 25 years old.
Once the Rental is ordered by the renter, communication through The Chat will be opened between the renter and the host.
No, to ensure the safety of our OutdoorShare community, we keep everyone's financial information safe through our platform. In any instance where this occurs, the vehicle will no longer by covered by the damage liability waiver, and all parties involved will be removed from the platform immediately.
OutdoorShare offers legal contracts and access to insurance through a 3rd party insurance company (coming 2025). This is NOT the same as traditional insurance until 2025 Damages caused to either the product or the accessories due to collision or accident are applicable. Mechanical breakdowns that are the result of wear or manufacturer defect are not covered. All damage to the products should be reported to the insurance company ASAP. (refer to rental contract for more information)
If the host cancels at any time, The renter receives full refund. When cancelling as a host you do run the risk of getting your account suspended or even banned.

Absolutely. We encourage as many rentals as you can access. This gives you a better chance to get rentals and create more revenue. We are the platform for bundles and multiple products rented at a time.
It is 100% free to create any listing on OutdoorShare. You will always earn at least 75% of the total listing price.
Every listing is required to have insurance or is protected with OutdoorShares "Host protection" that protects your listing(s).
- We also collect security deposits from all our Renters to cover potential charges
- All users identities are validated with ID and a verification process through Stripe.
- There is a really good check in/Check out process ensuring quality inspections
- Deposit is held until the rental process is done and verified by the host as a "safe return"
- OutdoorShare has in house lawyers and legal documents that keep legal policies secure

- Bad reviews, operation and, dis obeying policies will ban potential users
Right now, the host can get their own commercial policy (we can Help). starting January 1 2025 we will have a rental policy. We do collect a protection fee to help cover costs until the insurance is active. We will work to cover other costs with proof through the check out and check in process after submitting a claim.

As a renter, you won't be charged more than the deposit amount for any physical damage. For any mechanical damage you will not be charged more than $2,000.

We usually certify a new account with in a couple of hours. If you aren't getting certified after 2 business hours then please reach out and we will certify you immediately or if not able to certify we will explain why and help fix it if possible.

Yes, you can rent multiple items at the same time. Simply add the items you wish to rent to your cart and proceed to the checkout process. Make sure to coordinate the rental periods and pickup/delivery details with the respective item owners.
Trucks are also available for rent on OutdoorShare. Just simply add one to your cart. You can also look for a host that delivers.

If an item gets damaged during your rental, it's important to communicate with the owner immediately. Most owners have specific terms regarding damages outlined in their listings. You may be responsible for repair costs or a security deposit.
OutdoorShare will arrange this and keep both parties accountable and fair.
Training and safety can be found from your Host. Make sure you feel comfortable before checking out. Your host will be available to answer any questions you may have.
No. Any instance where this occurs the vehicle will no longer by covered by the damage liability waiver and/or protection plan.
The Renter is responsible for all damages not reported before the end of the rental term. If the cost of damages exceeds the security deposit amount, the renter's card MAY be charged for those damages after thorough investigation. OutdoorShare reserves the right to charge any card on file for these damages.
To rent a recreational vehicle, simply browse through the listings, choose the item you want, select your rental dates, and click "Book Now." Follow the prompts to complete the booking process.
Cancellation policies vary depending on timing.
- If the renter cancels within 7 or more days from the rental period a full refund is given.
- If the renter Cancels with in 7 days its a half refund.
- If the renter cancels within 72 hours of the rental period, there is no refund.
Any cancelations or denials by the host is a full refund. Please reach out to outdoorShare (if we dont reach out first) when this occurs and we will find you another option.
